2nd Exploration Division; Exploration Foundation Fleet.
Founding of the Exploration Divisions.
upon the creation of individual fleets, starfleet began placing fleets into Divisions, controlled by a divisional command structure. This structure would work like it's own command and issue orders to Fleet Admirals and senior personnel - whilst also taking their orders from Starfleet Command.
Exploration was granted 3 Divisions. The 1st disbanded after Picard made Admiral, ending the legacy of the 1st Exploration Division, making 2nd Division the main group of explorers.
Founding of Exploration Foundation.
As time progressed the lack of Exploration fleets left little to the growth of the Federation and more fleets were created within the Assault divisions. An idea was put forward between high ranking officials within Starfleet Command to create a fleet that would range in specialisations to not only explore, seek new life but to also study and defend the federation. It took much debate and many rejected the idea but the Exploration Foundation was finally founded, placing Vice Admiral Orion in charge.

Divisional Adjutant (Rear Admiral)
