This takes place when M’Kieitt is 10 years old and the dominion war is in full swing

“Now M’Kieitt I want you to stay here and to look after your brothers and sisters and get to sleep yourself” Said an older Caitian in a soft purring voice.
M’Kieitt quickly spoke up with a disappointed tone to her voice “But Mum, I wanted to keep playing with the other Kits”
“I said no they have been sent to bed as well know look after your brothers and sisters, I'm needed back on the bridge” She said in a tone that showed she meant it and there was no arguing.
“Fine!” M’Kieitt said crossing her arms in a huff.
With that the older Caitian left M’Kieitt with her 6 brothers and sisters. It was not hard getting them to settle down as she had done this many times over the years and they were soon in the bed getting rest.
M’Kieitt wasn’t sleepy it was too early for her she normal got to play or help with the ship for a few more hours. So she went to spy on her mum and dad on the bridge. She liked to watch them work and liked it when they let her sit in the chair.
As she got closer it sounded like there was an argument going on it the bridge so when she got close she hid in the door way, as there was no door she could see right into the bridge there and watch what happened.
There were her parents as well as two other Caitian the parents of the other kits that where onboard on the bridge.
“Did we get that distress call out before they started blocking us?” Called out M’Kieitt’s mother from across the Bridge.
A very tall male Caitian with fiery orange fur around the same age as M’Kieitt’s mother answered back “No idea S'Reella, but they will be in weapons range shortly” as he tapped a number of buttons on a control panel.
“I know M'Zosi, we can’t let them fire on the Kerrosat” Said S'Reella in a very worried voice.
“We only have one chose then,” Said M’Zosi. He turned to one of the other Caitian “Open comms to the Jem'Hadar ship.” With that order the comms noise sounded to let him know. S'Reella walked over to him and stood by his side and held his hand.
“This is the Kerrosat, we surrender and our cargo is yours” M’Zosi said using as best a command voice he could use.
A very short answer came back and all it said was “prepare to be boarded” Within seconds a number of Jem’Hader beamed onto the transports bridge.
M’Zosi stepped forward and started to say “I am M’Z…..” before he was cut off by the Jem’Hader who talked over him.
“I am First this vessel is now ours” With those words said, within the blink of an eye he had drawn his Kar’takin and cut M’Zosi head clean off. M’Kieitt let out a squeal of shock for her hiding place “Daddy!”
S'Reella looked round to see her daughter hiding in the doorway, they locked eyes but before she could even say a words the Second had stab her through the heart. M’Kieitt set off running back down the way she went so scared she ran into her favourite stop to hide when her parents were looking for her.
She was so shock up from what she saw she never heard the First giving the order to kill everyone one aboard or the screams that come after that order. It wasn’t till the Kerrosat was hit by fire from outside that she was knocked out of her shock. She had no idea how long she had stand there for, but at that moment she remembered her brothers and sisters and came out of her hiding place. With her eyes still streaming she took off back to their room.
When she got back it looked like they were all still sleeping where she had left them but the pool of blood that was on the bed and that covered them told a different story. In that moment whatever she had left that was holding her together was gone and she broken. She sat in the middle of the bed hugging the bodies off her brothers and sisters.
<Short time later>
“I am picking up a life sign up head” said the Starfleet officer as she looked at the tricorder.
They made their way through a door to find a young Caitian in the of the bodies of younger Caitian’s all they could hear was her sobbing.
“Is she hurt” said one of the officers. The one with the tricorder did a quick scan and replied “No, it’s not her blood”
“Lets get here out of here” said one of the officers as they when to pick her up. As they did she let out a very loud growl “NOOOOOO!” as she started fighting with all the strength she had.
“Quick sedate her” said the one holding her. Within seconds a hypospray was pushed to her neck and everything went black.
